Census 2000 Show Details Web site
The census website offers all of the information collected through the short and long forms of the 2000 census. Information is presented by state, city or town, census tract and, in some cases, by block level. Data can be compared and downloaded into excel spreadsheets and some data sets can be mapped directly on the site. Community Conversations About Education Fact Sheet (Community Mediation, Inc.) Show Details
Community Mediation, with support from the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund provides grants and technical assistance to communities wishing to hold a Community Conversation About Education. These local conversations are community-wide discussions that examine issues affecting children from preschool through high school (K-12). The goal of the conversations is to improve outcomes for children from birth through age eight by involving more citizens in defining and supporting community priorities.

Connecticut Strategic School Profiles Show Details Web site
In 1990, the Connecticut General Assembly passed an act requiring each board of education to submit a strategic school profile report for each school under its jurisdiction and for the school district as a whole. The profile reports contain information on measures of student needs, school resources, and student and school performance. These data are available online from the Connecticut State Department of Education, where they are available by school and by district.
