Born Learning
Born Learning is a public engagement campaign created by United Way of America and United Way Success By 6, the Ad Council, Civitas and Families and Work Institute to help parents, caregivers and communities create quality early learning opportunities for young children. The campaign is focused on fostering awareness about how young children learn, educating caregivers and providing a platform for public policy action.

Community Conversations About Education Fact Sheet

Community Mediation, with support from the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund provides grants and technical assistance to communities wishing to hold a Community Conversation About Education. These local conversations are community-wide discussions that examine issues affecting children from preschool through high school (K-12). The goal of the conversations is to improve outcomes for children from birth through age eight by involving more citizens in defining and supporting community priorities.

Study Circles
The Study Circles Resource Center is dedicated to finding ways for people to engage in dialogue and problem solving on critical social and political issues. Study circles bring together educators, students, and citizens from different backgrounds to talk in small groups about what matters to them in education, what challenges face the educational system, and what the community can do to address those challenges in productive ways.
